Community wide Interfaith Sukkoth Celebration
Join Us for our Annual Interfaith Community Celebration of Peace and Dialogue under the Sukkah of Peace on Sunday, October 16 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm
In an interfaith community festival come enjoy this special family gathering of the
Jewish harvest holiday of Sukkot. Together we will celebrate
the bountiful gifts the earth has given us in ceremony, prayer, song, dance, and dialogue.
Historically, the Sukkah was a temporary shelter built by the Jewish people as they walked through
the desert for 40 years. The lesson of the holiday teaches us that our security and the path to peace lie not in any structure but in the journey we take together with our neighbors and friends,
and in the relationships we build.
In a world that can seem like it’s coming apart,
La Casa is a place where people come together. Come journey with us.
Please bring a vegetarian main dish, salad or dessert to contribute to our celebration.
We will provide the drinks and paper goods.
Feel free to come a little early so you can help us decorate.
All are welcome—children and adults.
“You shall rejoice in your feast.” Deuteronomy 16:14
